Jiff V Sharp Knife & Scissor Sharpener

The first sharpening device I've found which actually works! It's a first class piece of equipment, even better than the expensive French free-hand carbide sharpening tools I'd been using until I found the Jiff V, and miles beyond the burnishing steel still favored by some butchers and cooks.

It is worth the money.

For an inexpensive sharpening device, this one is great. It's easy to use, safe and in three or four passes, followed by a little edge-honing refinement on a steel or stone, this one does the job. Plus, the built-in scissor sharpener works well too, although I found that pushing the blades through the sharpener with a slight pressure seemed to work better than drawing them toward you.
