This is a very well made knife. Fit and finish are excellent and I think the locking mechanisms strength and the 5 inch blade are good reasons to buy this knife. However, anyone buying it for its speed of opening should realize that without proper wrist action, it will not open quickly.

This is the largest a folding knife can be and still be considered a pocket knife. Despite its size, it nicely clips inside a front trouser pocket, ready for any task or emergency. The lock mechanism is smooth and very strong and it opens and closes with one hand. The only issue is the symmetrical handle. Be extra careful to orient it properly before trying to close it. I learned this the hard way while trying to close it while high up on a ladder at night. Otherwise it is excellent!

This item is made well but the design has some flaws. In my opinion, the strength of the folding/locking action is offset by the easy at which it gets clogged by sand and dirt. In a sandy environment, the knife can easily lock closed, completely. I know, clean your tools!
Not completely pleased with the edge finish provided by the maker, looked like they were in a hurry to meet an order deadline.
