The electric knife sharpener is great for anyone looking to obtain and maintain sharp kitchen knives, but don't have the time or patience required for sharpening steels or other "mechanical" sharpening tools. It can be used with pretty much any knife and the edges it creates last longer. I lost my last one in hurricane Katrina, but have since purchased a replacement. It is definately worth having around.

This sharpener is a big improvement. No more multiple repetitions in each of three slots, this machine will sharpen with only one pass on each side of the knife in each slot. Edge is finely honed and very sharp. Especially nice is the ability to sharpen serateed edge knives.
