The Chef's Choice Model 130 performed exactly as advertised. Following the clear instructions, I was quickly able to restore a very sharp edge to knives that have not had one for years--both expensive and cheap ones. I previously had only limited success with manual sharpeners. The Model 130 also worked well for our serrated knife, which I had no idea how to sharpen any other way.
