Product Description:

The Slide Sharp uses a unique system of injection molded nylon guides to hold the knife edge at the specific angle required for optimum sharpening. A hardwood base holds a porcelain sharpening rod. Simply insert the rod in the base, slide a return spring over it, select the sharpening guide needed for your knife, and slide on the cap.

This is a very good knife sharpener!

So far it has proved to be a great all-around knife sharpener. The pre-angled slots are a little large for some knives. This allows the blade to move a bit inside the slot. The ceramic rods are very brittle so handle with care. I managed to break one when I first got the system. All in all, I think it's a great system and I recommend it.
