I use these as hanging waterer's/ baths in zebra and society finch aviaries. They are somewhat fragile of course, being ceramic, but that is the only real drawback to this product. The chains can easily be shortened for higher hanging. Oh, by the way : the little frog at the bottom of the bowl? It's not just ornamental. The birds perch on them while they flutter their wings and bathe. These certainly work for my needs and I have seven of them in use.

It took a while for the birds to use it but the few that do seem to like it a lot. I really enjoy watching them in it.
